Job Description

The Portfolio Manager III works in partnership with commercial lenders, market presidents, and leadership for the Bank's commercial lending division. This position oversees and coordinates all aspects of a commercial loan portfolio, including underwriting, analysis, past dues, and exceptions. The Portfolio Manager III is expected to manage a portfolio of up to 200M.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in underwriting of commercial loans and preparation of loan packages. Ensures commercial loans comply with the Bank's commercial lending policies. Assists in timely gathering of appropriate financial data, monitoring, clearing of loan covenants, and loan exceptions. Informs commercial lenders and senior management of financial trends within the commercial loan portfolio. Manages assigned client relationships within the commercial banking loan portfolio. Assists with monitoring of credit quality, financial analysis, loan extensions, and cross-selling of other Bank products. Exercises awareness regarding possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department. Performs all job functions in compliance with Bank policies, federal, state, and local laws, and all regulations applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and GLBA/privacy rules. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting, or 3-5 years' equivalent work experience, required. 7+ years' experience in commercial lending, asset management, or commercial loan underwriting, required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Advanced knowledge of complex commercial loan structures. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong critical thinking and analysis skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Jack Henry, ABRIGO, and construction management software. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
