Job Description

Commercial Lender Position Summary:
Commercial Lender is responsible for driving commercial loan and deposit growth through strategic business development, relationship management, and sound credit leadership. This role serves as a senior producer and trusted advisor to clients while maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio aligned with the bank's risk appetite and growth objectives.
Key Skills and requirements:
Commercial lending expertise (C&I, owner-occupied CRE, small business) Strong business development and portfolio growth ability Advanced financial analysis (cash flow, tax returns, collateral, risk) Proven credit structuring and underwriting capability Relationship-driven with strong client retention and COI network skills Solid knowledge of treasury management and deposit products Portfolio management: covenant tracking, renewals, and credit quality Excellent communication, negotiation, and advisory skills Strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance Ability to work cross-functionally with credit, ops, and leadership 3+ years commercial lending or related banking experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (preferred) Demonstrated success in sourcing and closing new loan business Experience preparing credit memos and loan presentations Strong credit analysis and underwriting background Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously Proficiency in financial spreading tools and Microsoft Office Active involvement in local market / community engagement Self-starter with proactive calling and prospecting mindset Sound judgment with a conservative, risk-aware approach My name is Denise Fair, and I look forward to discussing your career aspirations for a future role as a Commercial Lender in Banking.
