Loan Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Loan Assistant to join our growing team. This person will work closely with loan officers and loan operation team members. They will assist loan officers in gathering supporting documentation related to loan approval and processing while assisting clients throughout the loan process, from application, to document gathering, loan closing, and post-closing loan servicing. The role is essential in maintaining efficiency and accuracy during loan origination, loan closing, and post-closing loan servicing. Responsibilities Review loan applications and approvals to ensure all required documentation was received prior to closing. Order and maintain supporting documentation such as credit reports, appraisals, title work, inspections, floods, and customer financial documentation Review loan documents and ensure completeness for new loans, loan renewals, and loan extension, etc. Schedule loans closings with customers, disburse funds, onboard loans to the core system, file any required documents to secure the loan, review documentation for compliance with state and federal regulation and compliance with bank's loan policy. Coordinate communication between clients, realtors, appraisers, title companies, and the loan officers Assist customers with loan related questions, process loan payments, process draw request, and always provide an on-going excellent customer experience Complete and put together loan files after loan closings Adhere to Smackover State Bank policies and procedures Monitor reports and follow up to collect missing documents Perform other job-related duties as assigned Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills A customer experience mindset Attention to detail Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Strong relationship management skills that will foster a positive culture with customers and team members Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED Experience working with word, excel, and other computer applications Availability to work full time Preferred Bachelor's Degree Previous banking experience - loan experience is a plus General knowledge of banking terms, principals, and regulation Join our team as a Loan Assistant where you will play a crucial role in enhancing the growth and efficiency of the loan department while providing a superior customer experience.
