Bilingual Mortgage Loan Officer - Spanish SpeakingAbout the Opportunity PRMG Mortgage is a nationwide mortgage lender built by originators for originators . The #ChampionsofLoans Team Powered by PRMG Mortgage is looking for an experienced, motivated Bilingual Mortgage Loan Officer who is fluent in Spanish and English . This is a commission-only mortgage origination position for an established mortgage professional who is already actively originating and wants to grow their business with the support of a strong lending platform, experienced operations team, and additional Spanish-speaking lead opportunities. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, actively developing business, and currently maintaining their own pipeline and referral relationships . This is not a position designed solely around company-provided leads. Spanish-speaking leads generated through our team and marketing efforts will be an additional source of opportunity to complement the Loan Officer's existing production. Production Expectations Candidates should have a demonstrated history of mortgage production and the ability to consistently generate and manage their own business. We are specifically looking for Loan Officers who: Maintain an active mortgage pipeline and referral network. Are currently originating and funding approximately one to two or more loans per month . Are comfortable independently prospecting, following up, developing referral relationships, and generating new business. Can effectively manage borrowers from initial consultation through closing. Will actively work and follow up with Spanish-speaking leads provided by the #ChampionsofLoans Team. View company-generated leads as an opportunity to supplement and grow their existing production , rather than as their sole source of business. Position Summary The Bilingual Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans while providing borrowers with professional guidance throughout the financing process. You will consult with prospective borrowers, evaluate financial goals and qualifications, recommend appropriate mortgage programs, complete loan applications, collect required documentation, structure and price loans, and work closely with processing, underwriting, closing, real estate professionals, and referral partners. A key component of this role is serving our growing Spanish-speaking client base. You must be comfortable communicating mortgage concepts clearly in both Spanish and English and providing a high level of service to Spanish-speaking borrowers and referral partners. Essential Responsibilities Originate residential mortgage loans in accordance with company, investor, agency, federal, and state requirements. Develop and maintain an independent pipeline of mortgage business. Build and maintain relationships with real estate professionals, past clients, referral partners, and community contacts. Respond promptly and consistently to Spanish-speaking leads generated through company and team marketing. Communicate professionally and fluently with borrowers in both Spanish and English. Conduct borrower consultations and complete accurate mortgage loan applications. Review borrower income, assets, employment, credit, liabilities, and other financial information. Analyze borrower scenarios and recommend appropriate financing programs. Educate clients regarding Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, Non-QM, down payment assistance, and other available mortgage options when applicable. Collect and review required borrower documentation. Obtain and review automated underwriting findings when applicable. Prepare complete loan files for submission to processing and underwriting. Ensure disclosures and required documentation are completed within applicable regulatory timeframes. Structure and price mortgage loans in accordance with company guidelines and borrower qualifications. Coordinate rate locks and communicate loan terms with borrowers and the operations team. Work closely with processors, underwriters, closers, and management to identify and resolve issues. Maintain consistent communication with borrowers, real estate professionals, and referral partners throughout the transaction. Maintain accurate prospect, borrower, and referral partner information within company systems and CRM. Consistently follow up with leads, prospects, past clients, and referral partners. Participate in business development, marketing, networking, and community outreach activities. Maintain production levels consistent with company and branch expectations. Qualifications Fluent in Spanish and English required. Active NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator license and appropriate state licensing required. Minimum of two years of mortgage lending or mortgage origination experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to independently generate mortgage business. Current or recent production history of approximately one to two or more funded loans per month preferred . Existing referral relationships and an active pipeline strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of the residential mortgage origination process. Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, Non-QM, and other residential mortgage programs preferred. Strong sales, relationship-building, prospecting, and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple borrowers and transactions simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsive, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a production-driven environment. Compensation This is a commission-only position . Compensation is based on mortgage loan production and funded loan volume, subject to PRMG compensation plans, company policies, licensing requirements, and applicable federal and state laws. There is no guaranteed salary or hourly wage associated with this position. Additional Spanish-speaking leads may be provided through team and company marketing efforts; however, Loan Officers are expected to maintain and grow their own referral relationships and production pipeline. You should already know how to build relationships, stay connected with referral partners, follow up with prospects, manage a pipeline, and move loans successfully from application through closing. At the same time, our team is actively creating additional opportunities within the Spanish-speaking community. The right Loan Officer will be able to combine their own established production with these additional leads to build an even stronger and more sustainable mortgage business.
