We are seeking an experienced lending professional to help lead our Consumer Loan Underwriting team while supporting responsible loan growth, operational excellence, and exceptional member service. What You'll Do Provide day-to-day leadership and support for the Consumer Loan Underwriting team. Review complex loan applications and provide guidance on credit decisions, risk assessment, and policy interpretation. Coach, develop, and support team members to ensure high-quality, consistent, and compliant lending decisions. Monitor workflow, service levels, productivity, and underwriting quality while driving continuous improvement efforts. Partner with leaders and business units across the organization to support compliance, risk management, and an exceptional member experience. Assist with consumer loan underwriting and credit decisioning as needed to support workflow demands, service levels, and member needs. Support HELOC origination activities as a registered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO). Key Qualifications Three or more years of consumer loan underwriting experience with strong credit analysis and lending decision-making skills. Experience underwriting consumer loan products, including direct lending, indirect lending, and HELOCs. Previous leadership, lead, supervisory, mentoring, or coaching experience preferred. Strong knowledge of consumer lending regulations, underwriting practices, risk assessment, and portfolio quality standards. Ability to balance leadership responsibilities while maintaining hands-on involvement in underwriting activities. Excellent communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Credit union or financial institution experience preferred. Why Join Us?
