POSITION SUMMARY
As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will develop and manage relationships while helping individuals and families secure mortgage financing that meets their needs. You will be responsible for generating loan opportunities, originating residential mortgage loans, and guiding applicants through the lending process from initial inquiry through closing. Success in this role requires strong sales abilities, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with customers, Realtors, builders, and other business partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Originate residential real estate loans in accordance with established lending policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Develop new business through referrals, bank-generated leads, Realtors, builders, attorneys, and other community and professional relationships.
Interview applicants, gather required documentation, and evaluate financial information to identify appropriate mortgage solutions.
Educate customers regarding available loan products, program requirements, and the mortgage application process.
Manage a pipeline of mortgage applications while ensuring timely follow-up, communication, and customer service throughout the lending process.
Partner closely with processing and operations staff to facilitate efficient loan processing and resolution of outstanding conditions.
Maintain market awareness, including economic trends, housing activity, and competitive factors that impact mortgage lending opportunities.
Foster strong relationships with internal partners and external referral sources while promoting a positive and professional image of the bank.
Comply with all applicable banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act requirements and information security standards.

This position starts at $35,568.00 and can increase from there depending on experience. Applications will be accepted through September 30th, 2026 QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional job-related education and professional development preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of mortgage loan origination experience with demonstrated ability to maintain an active loan pipeline.
Strong sales, business development, and relationship-management skills.
Working knowledge of mortgage lending practices, underwriting guidelines, and loan qualification principles.
Proficiency with mortgage loan origination systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service.
