Job Description
Duties and responsibilities may include:
Prepare comprehensive business loan documentation in strict adherence to the Bank's policies, procedures, and all relevant compliance regulations. Possess a deep understanding of highly complex commercial loan products and documentation, encompassing the entire process from loan application receipt to the preparation of closing loan documents, funding, and integration into the core bank system. Serves as a subject matter expert on intricate commercial loan transactions, including commercial real estate, multi-product transactions, multi-entity transactions, consumer loans, and special lending requests. Serves as mentor, addressing complex inquiries from various business partners and external vendors related to pertinent borrower, property/collateral, and documentation information. Prepares executed loan packets for booking and coordinates with Loan Servicing to ensure booking occurs within three business days of document signing. Coordinate loan transactions with third parties including appraisers, title companies, real estate agents, and others. Serves as the primary or secondary contact for business customers, addressing inquires related to loan history, payment applications, transfers, stop payments, wires, and more. Attend and assist with loan closings and customer calls as needed. Coordinate with the Credit Department to ensure the timely and efficient underwriting of new loan requests, renewals, and modifications. Review loan presentations for accuracy, ensuring all compliance requirements are met before releasing final loan documents. Maintain Business Banking Officers' loan production, fee income, pipeline, and call or referral reports via the Bank's CRM. Monitors, documents, and authenticates information that pertains to the Special Asset/Collection Department including garnishments, litigation, legal fees, and other real estate (ORE) expenses for Consumer, Commercial, and SBA workout portfolios to remain in compliance with any bankruptcy or workout situation. Assemble and submit accurate legal files to attorneys. Maintain legal correspondence between lender, customer, and attorney to include foreclosure, forbearance, and replevin for Consumer, Commercial, and SBA workout portfolios Obtain required collateral insurance documentation on assigned workout portfolio and prepare/mail all Notice of Intent (NOI), Notice of Default (NOD), or bankruptcy loan extensions. This is a regular full-time salaried exempt position, averaging approximately 40 hours/week. Schedule may vary between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:30 pm EST Monday through Friday. Our recommended and preferred qualifications are: Over 5 years of experience in business loan and legal documentation, as well as the business lending process. Advanced expertise in lending regulations, closing procedures, and title and insurance policies. In-depth knowledge of specialized lending areas, including Small Business Administration loans, participation loans, and SWAP transactions. Skilled in presenting information and addressing questions from managers, customers, and the public. Ability to work independently while handling a heavy workload. Self-motivated and detail oriented.
