Portfolio Manager -Commercial Real Estate (CRE) -Florida FinTrust Connect has partnered with a well-capitalized and growing financial institution to identify Portfolio Managers for its expanding Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending platform. This search includes junior, mid-level, and senior opportunities supporting sophisticated commercial lending transactions across multiple CRE asset classes. Function:
This role focuses on commercial real estate underwriting, credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, and risk management across a diverse CRE portfolio including multifamily, office, retail, industrial, hospitality, and senior living assets.
Requirements:
Junior Level 1-3 years of experience in commercial banking, underwriting, credit analysis, or CRE lending Strong Excel and financial analysis capabilities Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred Exposure to financial statement analysis and underwriting fundamentals Mid-Level 4-7 years of commercial real estate underwriting or portfolio management experience Experience preparing credit approval packages and underwriting CRE transactions Strong understanding of loan structures, covenant monitoring, and risk ratings Ability to manage borrower relationships and ongoing portfolio reviews Senior Level 7+ years of CRE portfolio management and underwriting experience Experience independently managing complex CRE transactions and larger loan portfolios Advanced knowledge of commercial credit risk, loan structuring, and portfolio strategy Ability to mentor junior team members and support credit decision-making Technical Skills Commercial real estate underwriting Financial statement and cash flow analysis Covenant compliance monitoring Credit approval documentation Risk assessment and portfolio monitoring Microsoft Excel and financial spreading software Experience with one or more CRE asset classes including multifamily, office, retail, industrial, hospitality, or senior living preferred
Description:
Prepare comprehensive credit analyses and underwriting packages for commercial real estate loans Analyze borrower financial statements, rent rolls, operating statements, collateral performance, and cash flow Support new loan originations, renewals, extensions, and modifications Assist with loan structuring, covenant analysis, and credit approval documentation Review appraisals, market studies, and transaction due diligence materials Participate in client meetings and deal discussions alongside Relationship Managers Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging credit risks or negative trends Perform covenant testing, annual reviews, and ongoing portfolio maintenance Track loan maturities, construction progress, overdrafts, and past due activity Maintain accurate risk ratings, loan coding, and portfolio reporting documentation Collaborate with lending and credit teams to proactively manage overall portfolio quality
