Prepares commercial loan documents, coordinates loan closings, and prepares the loan packet for funding and booking. Identifies process improvement opportunities and participates in special projects within the department. Major Job Accountabilities Reviews, researches and processes credit approvals to prepare loan documents for complex Commercial, Corporate, Commercial Real Estate and Business Banking transactions. Reviews loan documents prepared by external attorney(s) and works directly with internal and external attorneys, as well as title and escrow companies. Examines the accuracy and integrity of all loan documents. Responds to inquiries, communicates with and supports teammates and business partners across the organization; researches, analyzes and resolves issues. Performs other loan-related processes to protect the Bank's collateral such as insurance tracking, managing certificates of title and other collateral in the Bank's possession, and monitoring uniform commercial code filings. Participates in testing related to documentation systems. Identifies process improvement opportunities and participates in special projects within the department. Participates in and contributes to the development and refinement of internal procedures and new documentation strategies. Trains and coaches Documentation Specialists to deliver high performance and exemplify the core values of the Bank. Oversees the workflow of the Loan Documentation team. Experience Required Minimum three (3) years of the following experience: Commercial and/or small business documentation experience. Finance, business, paralegal, or juris doctor degree or experience in commercial markets or commercial credit may be accepted in lieu of documentation experience. Required Skills or Training Ability to adapt to new ways of working and master new technology/procedures quickly. Ability to understand and review loan and entity-related documents for accuracy, compliance, and other requirements. Able to assess, prioritize, and manage multiple works streams to meet deadlines. Able to work effectively and efficiently to meet multiple priorities and critical deadlines. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem resolution skills. Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with others. Exhibits leadership traits and serves as a role model for teammates. Knowledge of the LaserPro Documentation and Fiserv systems highly desired. Maintains a positive demeanor and handles difficult situations in a professional manner. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and banking applications Self-directed with the ability to complete daily assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Understands and adheres to regulatory and compliance requirements, applying this knowledge to assessing and resolving problems.
