Banking Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with an independently owned community bank located in Central Iowa in the search for a Senior Loan Officer. This is a key leadership opportunity driven by an upcoming retirement, offering the ability to step into an established portfolio while helping guide the next phase of the bank's lending growth. The organization is deeply rooted in its community and is seeking a relationship-focused lender with strong credit expertise and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Manage and grow a diversified loan portfolio with a focus on Agricultural and Commercial lending. Originate new business through proactive relationship development and community engagement. Provide sound credit analysis, structure loan terms, and present recommendations for approval. Oversee and mentor a small team of lenders, supporting their development and performance. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for expansion. Represent the bank within the community, building visibility and strengthening local partnerships. Ensure adherence to credit quality standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

7+ years of Ag and Commercial Lending experience preferred. Strong credit analysis skills and a solid understanding of loan structuring. Proven ability to develop new business and manage client relationships. Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior lenders. Knowledge of agricultural markets and commercial lending practices. Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
