Des Moines, IA Metro, based out of Grimes or Perry, IA branches Direct hire opportunity Job Description A well-established community bank with over 100 years of service is seeking an experienced Commercial Lender to join its growing lending team. This is a high-impact role for a relationship-driven professional who thrives on partnering with business owners, farmers, and community leaders to provide lending solutions that support growth and long-term success. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of commercial , real estate, and agricultural loans, guide clients through the lending process, and ensure compliance with banking policies and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Build and maintain strong customer relationships as a trusted financial partner Originate, service, and manage commercial and agricultural loans Monitor loan performance and proactively manage portfolio risk Review creditworthiness, financial statements, and collateral documentation Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies Report on portfolio updates to loan committees and leadership Represent the bank in local business, civic, and community organizations Assist with collections as needed Collaborate with internal teams to enhance customer experience Serve on internal committees and contribute to bank-wide initiatives Qualifications and Strengths 5 + years of commercial or industrial real estate lending experience Strong knowledge of underwriting, credit analysis, and loan servicing Proven relationship-building and customer service skills Sales-minded with strong negotiation and consultative skills Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities Your Career Partner The Reserves Network, a veteran-founded and family-owned company, specializes in connecting exceptional talent with rewarding opportunities.
