Job Description

Preferred Skills/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Secondary market underwriting experience preferred but not required Experience with AU systems (i.e.
DU, LPA, GUS
) Strong knowledge of assessing credit, income, assets, and collateral Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail Ability to perform efficiently at a fast pace while conforming to policies and procedures Ability to multi-task, problem-solve proactively, and think creatively Team-player mindset with eagerness to help others Experience with
Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Responsibilities:
Underwrite secondary market and in-house portfolio loan applications and ensuring adherence to Bank and investor guidelines Review credit, income, assets, appraisals, title reports, etc. Analyze loan attributes and documentation for soundness and accuracy Analyze loan applications to identify any fraud risks and/or potential misrepresentation Condition for necessary items and ensure all necessary documentation has been received prior to final approval Provide support to loan officers regarding underwriting questions and scenarios Stay up-to-date on investor and regulatory guidelines Perform other related duties as assigned
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Position operates in a professional office environment Routine use of standard office equipment, i.e. computers, phones, copiers, calculators, and filing cabinets. Must be able to remain sedentary 50% of the time Employee will move about inside the office to access office machinery, etc.
