Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Lending Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding clients through the loan application process, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role is crucial in helping individuals and businesses secure the financing they need while fostering strong relationships with clients. This position will manages all aspects of the Mortgage Loan Department. Responsible for the training and development of all mortgage lending staff and promotes positive communication and teamwork. Participates in relationship management and the development and implementation of marketing strategies and programs. This position is responsible for the growth, profitably and mortgage loan quality of the loan department. Will be responsible for origination of secondary market loans, in-house market loans, and applications including purchase, refinance, construction, home improvement and home equity loans. Responsibilities Actively develops new and existing customer relationship through key contacts within the local communities to market the bank's service
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and disclosures related to mortgage lending. mortgage lending regulations
  • Originate investor quality first mortgage loans, adhering to loan policy guidelines
  • Maintain product knowledge that assists in establishing full banking relationships with mortgage customers
  • Provide professional level of information and follow through while working on mortgage loans
  • Must be willing to proactively establish and nurture relationships with realtors, bank officers, builders, and new home sales representative to develop and retain business.
  • Maintain broker and investor relationships that ensures minimum risk
  • Manage customer interactions and file records in compliance with bank policy, federal and state regulations and investor requirements
  • Process customer information that provides complete and accurate information to appropriate processors, service companies and investors
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements for banking
  • Solicit new loan business from existing and new customers and referral sources
  • Contacts customers with past due accounts and effectively collects funds owed
  • Prepares HELOC, Home Equity & Home Improvement loan
  • Develop positive working relationships with commercial, retail and investment areas
  • Develop and maintain external and internal referral sources
  • Participate in community and business organizations and events
  • Problem solve solutions for customers looking for financing with real estate
  • Cross-sells and refers business to the consumer and commercial departments as well as investment representatives
  • Volunteers time to building on-going, permanent relationships
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
  • Files for processing from start to finish, including setting the file up through to approval
  • Answers phones and assists customers as required, or transfers calls as needed
  • Assist in and respond to internal and external audits and reviews
  • Provide training, product knowledge, and sales and marketing guidance
Pay Transparency:
Compensation for this position will be salary to begin with commissions and will transition to primarily commission based where your production and performance will determine earning potential.

$50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
