Job Description
The Mortgage Loan Originator is responsible for developing and converting residential mortgage loan opportunities through a consultative, customer focused sales approach. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients by identifying appropriate mortgage solutions, guiding borrowers through the loan process, and building lasting relationships that strengthen Central Bank's presence in the Branson community. Exceptional customer service, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with internal partners are critical to success in this position. Convert mortgage loan prospects into closed loans using a consultative sales process that meets client needs and supports long term customer relationships. Gather, complete, and submit required borrower documentation accurately and in a timely manner, utilizing both direct customer interaction and available online tools. Maintain strong knowledge of mortgage products, loan documentation, compliance requirements, deal structuring, and applicable technology systems. Develop and maintain purposeful relationships with referral partners through networking events, open houses, partner visits, and active community involvement. Effectively manage time and workload to meet production goals, customer expectations, and internal deadlines. Cross sell additional Central Bank retail and lending products to meet broader customer financial needs. Ensure thorough knowledge and application of all compliance and regulatory requirements related to mortgage lending, including CRA, Fair Lending, and internal loan policies; complete all required compliance training. Comply with all applicable banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act requirements and information security standards. Attend meetings, training sessions, and bank sponsored events as required and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous mortgage lending, financial services sales, or related experience preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Ability to obtain and maintain any required mortgage licensing or registrations. Ability to travel locally for networking, customer meetings, and community events. Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality are required for this position. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Strong consultative sales and customer service skills with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships. Working knowledge of residential mortgage products, loan documentation, and underwriting concepts. Solid understanding of mortgage compliance and regulatory requirements.
