Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
Provides assistance to designated officer(s) in their role as Commercial Loan Officer and Consumer Loan Officer. Provides front-line contact for all current and potential commercial and consumer loan customers. Performs majority of administrative paperwork and maintenance of existing customer accounts. Responsible for legendary service and proper phone etiquette while providing for customers.
DUTIES, SCOPE, RESPONSIBLIITIES & AUTHORITY
Manages customer overdrafts, advance requests, loan requests, and extensions with discretion, communicating with officers when necessary. Must know bank and departmental policies for appropriate decision-making. Checks loan packets for exceptions, real estate evaluations, financial information, and insurance. Closes loans after meeting requirements and addressing exceptions. Reports policy or procedural issues to leadership for changes. Assists with commercial and personal loans from Centralia, Hallsville, Sturgeon, Boonville, Ashland, Mexico, Vandalia, Moberly, and other assignments. Works closely with officers and assistants in Commercial Lending, Consumer Lending, Mortgage Lending, and other Credit Administration personnel. Contacts various departments within the bank, title companies, insurance companies, attorneys, and government agencies. Must efficiently prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Maintains Legendary Service Standards with customers and staff. Complies with banking regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives. Training will take place in Columbia - Mileage will be reimbursed for training.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
Requires a high school education, with a college degree preferred. Must be eager to learn and possess excellent communication and customer service skills. Preferred knowledge includes loan documentation and regulatory compliance. Requires problem-solving, decision-making, loan process knowledge, technical know-how, and strong computer skills. Confidentiality in administrative and customer issues is essential. Must be organized, motivated, accurate, and timely, working well within the Credit Administration team and with Commercial and Consumer Lenders. Required to obtain and maintain designation as a Notary Public.
