Full Job Description Summary :
Salaried, Full-Time - 40 hours a week. Essential Job Functions Demonstrate Legacy Bank and Trust core values in all you do. May assist with the training of newly hired loan officers, portfolio managers, and loan assistants. Assist potential borrowers with completion of initial loan applications. Review submitted applications for accuracy and completion, requesting additional information or details as needed. Verify information and financial history provided. Acquire borrowers' credit reports from major credit reporting bureaus. Submit applications to credit analysts or, when appropriate, examine applications and creditworthiness of potential borrowers. Determine or make recommendations regarding approval or denial/modification of requested loans. Approve, or when outside pre-approved lending limits, refer loans to management for analysis and approval. Ensure loan agreements are completed according to policy. Calculate and explain payment schedule. Explain different lending and credit options as well as different bank products to potential and current clients. Maintain credit and lending records and files. Maintain a robust referral network in the local banking community with builders, real estate agents, and other related businesses. Ensure all documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal customer service and sales skills. Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software programs. Positive attitude and highly motivated. Thorough understanding or Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Veteran's Affairs (VA), Federal National Mortgage (Fannie Mae), and other types of construction and conventional loans. NMLS License. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in finance or business administration is preferred. Four or more years of lending experience Physical Requirements Onsite Position.
