At North Star Community Credit Union, lending is about more than approvals and paperwork. It's about helping members achieve their goals while building a strong, responsible lending program.
We're looking for an experienced Consumer Lending Manager to lead our consumer lending team, strengthen lending operations, and help shape the future of lending at North Star.
What You'll DoLead & Develop the TeamCoach, mentor, and support consumer lending staffBuild lending knowledge, confidence, and sound credit judgmentPromote accountability, consistency, and exceptional member serviceOversee Consumer Lending OperationsProvide leadership for consumer lending activities from application through closingSupport complex loan decisions and underwriting guidanceMonitor lending production, portfolio performance, and key metricsPartner with leadership on lending strategy, products, and ratesImprove Processes & Drive InnovationIdentify opportunities to improve lending workflows and efficiencyRecommend enhancements to products, systems, and member experiencesStay current on lending technology, trends, and best practicesManage Risk & ComplianceMonitor portfolio quality and emerging lending risksEnsure compliance with lending policies, regulations, and underwriting standardsProvide oversight of delinquency management and Visa credit card portfolio requirementsWhat You Bring5-8 years of consumer lending or financial services experienceStrong knowledge of underwriting, credit analysis, and loan decisioningLeadership, coaching, and employee development experienceUnderstanding of consumer lending regulations and complianceExperience with lending technology and loan origination systemsCredit union or community banking experience preferredWhat Success Looks LikeLending staff grow through your leadership and coachingLending decisions are consistent, timely, and compliantMembers experience responsive, solutions-focused servicePortfolio performance remains strong and risks are managed proactivelyLending processes continue to improve and evolveWhy Join North Star?
