Who We Are:
We are a family owned, well-established loan servicing company, currently in our 40th year of operation in Newton Falls, Ohio. We purchase portfolios of consumer and commercial loans in various stages of performance. What You'll beDoing:
You will be overseeing groups of loans to make sure that the loans that are paying continue to pay, you will negotiate payoffs on loans, and you will review and collect on any loans that are delinquent.What You Are Responsible For:
- Keeping track of paying loans and monitoring for missed payments
- Reaching out to customers that are delinquent by phone, mail and electronic means and taking appropriate actions to bring the account current
- Sending letters and required notifications to customers
- Evaluating customers' current circumstances and finances in order to provide appropriate options to management
- You will speak and negotiate directly with our customers and have the opportunity to "think outside the box" to create solutions for customers
Who You Are:
- A problem-solving mindset, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a keen interest in learning
- Ability to learn and adhere to compliant collection practices and appropriate Federal and State laws governing our industry
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Strong verbal skills, adept at interacting with customers
- You will be responsible for communicating and negotiating with the customer accounts assigned to you.
- Familiar with Word and Excel and a willingness to learn new software applications
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is required
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus but not required
- Must pass a background check
