Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Escrow Assistant and become a vital part of the home buying and lending process! In this role, you will support escrow officers by providing administrative support and facilitating communication between parties to ensure a smooth transaction workflow. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help deliver exceptional service to clients and uphold industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity at Monteith Abstract & Title Company! Duties Assists in processing files with a high degree of quality, including funding/balancing, clearing, and working prelims for clients Orders all necessary documents to close the transaction on time (i.e., payoff demands, tax certifications, attorney documents, and HOA Statements) Reviews commitment to ensure clear title and notifies escrow officer and parties of closing requirements Maintains records of communication with all partners involved in transactions Follows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelines Informs escrow officers of any missing items or problems relevant to closing Understands escrow standards, title clearance, real estate regulations and guidelines, and document preparation Comprehends pay off per diems, tax prorations, and interest calculations Understands lender documents and recordings Schedules and coordinates closings with all parties May be responsible for order entry Assist in the preparation and review of escrow documents, including closing statements, company documents, and loan documents. Ensure all documents comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction. Respond to inquiries and provide updates on the status of the transaction to all parties Communicate effectively with all parties to ensure timely completion of all necessary paperwork and requirements Maintain accurate and organized escrow files, both physical and electronic. Enter and update transaction information in the escrow management system. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including verifying the accuracy of documents and obtaining necessary signatures. Provide general administrative support to the Escrow Officer, including answering phones, scheduling meetings, and managing correspondence. May be responsible for commercial transactions. Adheres to company policies and guidelines Undertake various job-related tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to support the team's objectives.
EXPERIENCE
Two to Three (2-3) years' experience as an Escrow Assistant Notary Public status preferredEDUCATION A
high school diploma or GED is required. Additional post-high school education preferred.SKILLS Communication:

Physical Demand Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers repetitively. This position requires bending, sitting, squatting, and simple grasping. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision. (clear vision at 20 feet or more); color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) Work Hours/Schedule Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Up to one (1) hour lunch at approved time by manager Overtime may be required as necessary for businessBenefits:
