Job Description
Highlands Bank is seeking a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of commercial clients across Eastern West Virginia. This role is centered on building strong local commercial relationships, delivering tailored financial solutions, and supporting the continued growth of our communities. The ideal candidate is someone who understands the value of community banking, enjoys being active in the local market, and takes pride in helping businesses succeed. Key Responsibilities Relationship Management & Business Development Develop and maintain strong relationships with local commercial clients through networking, referrals, and community involvement Manage and grow an existing portfolio of commercial loans and deposit relationships Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding each customer's financial goals and operational needs Deepen client relationships by promoting bank products and services Credit Analysis & Loan Structuring Knowledge of various types of financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow to assess creditworthiness Structure commercial loan requests that meet customer needs while aligning with bank credit standards Prepare credit memorandums and present loan requests for approval Monitor loan performance and proactively address potential risk concerns Portfolio Management & Compliance Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Monitor covenants, reporting requirements, and collateral values Partner with credit administration and loan operations for efficient processing and servicing Community Engagement Actively participate in community events, civic organizations, and local business groups Maintain awareness of local economic conditions and market trends Represent The Grant County Bank as a trusted and engaged community partner
