Job Description

This position will be located in Cabot, AR.
Position Summary:
The Mortgage Loan Assistant supports loan officers and the mortgage production team by assisting with the loan process from application through closing. This role helps ensure files are complete, organized, and moving efficiently while providing excellent customer service to borrowers and business partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist loan officers with daily pipeline management Collect and organize borrower documentation Review loan files for completeness and accuracy prior to processing and underwriting Maintain communication with borrowers, real estate agents, title companies, and internal departments Schedule appointments and follow up on outstanding conditions Update loan milestones and notes within the LOS/CRM system Monitor rate lock expirations, closing dates, and pipeline deadlines Prepare and distribute disclosures and supporting documents as needed Support loan officers with prequalification and application intake Ensure compliance with company policies and mortgage regulations Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous mortgage, banking, administrative, or customer service experience preferred Knowledge of mortgage terminology and loan programs preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mortgage software systems preferred
