Description:
The Loan Processing Specialist is responsible for supporting the loan function by preparing accurate loan documentation, boarding loans to the core system, and maintaining complete and compliant loan files. This role ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, including consumer compliance guidelines, while delivering efficient and detail-oriented service to internal teams and customers. Key Responsibilities Prepare consumer and commercial loan documentation accurately and in a timely manner Review approved loan files to ensure all required documentation is complete prior to closing Load and book loans into the core processing system with a high level of accuracy Maintain complete loan and financial files in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including consumer lending requirements Work closely with lenders, loan assistants, and other internal departments to resolve documentation or processing issues Track and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely loan closings and funding Assist with post-closing file review and documentation corrections as needed Support audits and examinations by providing accurate and organized loan documentation Maintain confidentiality and security of customer financial information
