Position requires availability Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with additional hours as needed. Summary The Commercial Loan Assistant 2 supports commercial lending by servicing large, complex loan portfolios. They provide exceptional customer service, ensuring necessary documentation is completed, and acting as a crucial liaison between the bank and its customers. Responsibilities Collaborate with and assist commercial lender(s) in obtaining corporate entity information, and related loan documentation, including but not limited to, title searches/commitments, UCC searches, and flood determinations, appraisals for new loans. Obtain credit information and ensure sufficient loan collateral. Review loan documents before closing (legal descriptions, closing dates, loan documents prepared in-house or by legal counsel, etc.) and close loans with customers. Oversee the loan documentation pipeline by updating lenders and borrowers on loan status and ensuring timely completion of the loan process. Serve as liaison with legal counsel, borrower and third-party vendors in coordinating receipt and review of required documents to expedite the closing process. Perform post-closing reviews to ensure that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data. Identify clients' operational needs and bank products/services that meet these needs. Recognize selling opportunities, effectively cross-sell bank products, and make referrals. Manage the Technical Exceptions (TE) list to ensure that bank security interests in the files are perfected promptly. Monitor maturing loans and loan renewals in collaboration with the lender(s) and obtain preliminary documentation. Disburse loan funds after closing and image loan documents within established timelines. Provide ongoing support to maintain and enhance customer relations. Ensure ongoing loan maintenance in the system to meet the bank's and customers' needs. Communicate with the Appraisal Team and Loan Operations regarding loan processing. Provide information efficiently so customers' loans can be processed promptly. May also communicate with CLD on consumer loans. Collect and analyze customer financial information. Annually or as the loan program requires, obtain updated financial information and insurance to support outstanding loans. Serve as a resource to Commercial Loan Assistant 1s and may, on occasion, mentor new hires. Process, vet, and approve outgoing wire transfer requests with an established approval limit, ensuring proper approval and documentation are obtained prior to submission. Understand and comply with bank policies, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to job duties. This includes, but is not limited to, completing compliance training, adhering to internal procedures and controls, reporting any known violations of compliance policies, laws, or regulations, and reporting any suspicious customer and/or account activity. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
Responsibilities:
Experience Required:
5 years of banking or equivalent related experience, 2 of which are as a Loan Assistant or equivalent loan operations
Required:
Working regulatory knowledge, such as privacy, safeguarding customer information, Regulation B, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Regulation Z, Truth in Lending, CRA, HMDA, and flood regulations
Preferred:
Arvest experience.
Education Required:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Preferred:
AA/AS degree preferred.
Credentials Required:
Successful completion of Fundamentals of Commercial Lending or ability to acquire within 90 days Working Conditions Incumbents must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to operate standard office equipment and use office applications for communication, information and document transmission, and content, document, and report creation. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. Grade 14
Pay Range:
$25.30 - $31.60 per hour
