In this vital role, you will support licensed loan officers by managing loan processing tasks, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to clients throughout the loan journey. Your energetic approach will help streamline operations, facilitate smooth loan origination, and uphold the highest standards of fairness and transparency in accordance with Fair Housing regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in mortgage servicing, credit analysis, and financial software tools while contributing to a positive client experience. Duties Assist licensed loan officers in preparing and reviewing loan applications, ensuring all documentation complies with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements Coordinate loan processing activities including data entry into Quicken, accounting software, and other financial tools to facilitate accurate loan origination and underwriting Conduct credit analysis by reviewing credit reports, verifying income, assets, and employment details to support sound lending decisions Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, clarify questions, and provide updates on application status while maintaining excellent customer service standards Support loan officers in negotiating terms with clients and third-party vendors such as escrow companies or banks to ensure favorable outcomes Maintain thorough records of contracts, escrow documents, and mortgage servicing files in compliance with regulatory standards Assist with compliance adherence related to Fair Housing regulations, TILA disclosures, and other applicable federal or state laws governing mortgage lending Experience Proven experience working as a Loan Officer Assistant or in a similar financial services support role with a focus on mortgage lending or loan processing Strong knowledge of FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, and Fair Housing laws Familiarity with mortgage origination systems such as Quicken or comparable financial software Experience performing credit analysis, contract management, and basic math calculations related to loans and interest rates Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently using banking or accounting software while maintaining accuracy Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across diverse client interactions Prior experience with loan underwriting processes or mortgage servicing is highly desirable Join us in empowering clients through responsible lending practices!
