In this role, you will ensure consumer loans are processed accurately and efficiently while delivering strong member service. You will collect and verify required documentation, ensure compliance with lending regulations, fund approved loans, and provide support to members, branch staff, and external partners throughout the loan process. This position plays an important role in helping the credit union produce a high volume of high-quality consumer loans while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process, fund, and disburse consumer loans, including Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs), ensuring compliance with all applicable lending regulations.
- Educate members on loan options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements while ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and validated.
- Respond to loan inquiries from members, dealerships, and internal teams, providing clear explanations and support.
- Collaborate with Member Advisors and branch staff to facilitate smooth loan processing and closing.
- Prepare DMV documents required for title transfers.
- Identify member needs and effectively address member questions or objections.
- Manage time effectively while handling urgent requests and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Maintain and follow up on pending loan files to ensure timely completion.
- Demonstrate initiative and willingness to take on responsibilities as needed to support the lending team.
- Maintain a strong commitment to ethical conduct, accountability, and adherence to company policies and standards.
- Work a variety of shifts, including evenings and Saturdays as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum two years of consumer lending processing experience.
- Proficiency with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience working with loan processing or lending operating systems.
- Knowledge of consumer lending compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to evaluate priorities, manage workload effectively, and make efficient use of resources.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Generally, new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates.
