Senior Funder Genesis Capital - 3.3 Sherman Oaks, CA Job Details Full-time $31.25 - $38.46 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Closing coordination Document preparation (loan closing) Mortgage closing and funding Coordination (loan closing) Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Genesis Capital (the "Company") is one of the largest business purpose lenders in the country, focused on providing commercial real estate financing solutions to real estate developers who buy, renovate, and sell single-family and/or multi-family residential real estate. The Company is a subsidiary of Rithm Capital (parent company), a publicly traded mortgage real estate investment trust. As a Sr Funder, you play a key role in the daily funding of loan originations. You work with each of the firm's departments to ensure fundings are performed accurately, timely and with proper controls. Professionals in this function need to perform tasks in situations with high pressure and tight deadlines, be highly responsive, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, and have excellent communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Validate all required loan conditions, approvals (entity, pricing, and internal), and supporting documentation prior to funding Verify accuracy and completeness of closing documents (note, deed of trust, settlement statement, insurance, etc.) Confirm compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Finance to facilitate timely and accurate loan fundings Execute and distribute loan origination fundings and construction draw disbursements Balance funding figures (wire instructions, payoff statements) Prepare and authorize funding wires Initiate and release loan funds via wire transfer Ensure proper documentation and audit trail of funding transactions Deliver funded loan packages for post-closing review or investor delivery Identify discrepancies or missing documentation prior to funding Ensure adherence to lending policies, fraud prevention standards, and audit requirements Maintain compliance with federal and state lending regulations Update loan status in systems Maintain accurate funding logs and records Education and Experience To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 2-5+ years of experience in private lending, preferably in funding or closing Strong knowledge of loan documents and closing process High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred Strong time management and communication skills. Strong business communication skills with an ability to work well in a collaborative environment. Organized and professional. Ability to work both independently and as a team player. Compensation Range:
