This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with experienced loan officers, assist with loan processing, and contribute to helping clients achieve their homeownership goals. Responsibilities Assist loan officers with the preparation and organization of loan applications and supporting documentation Conduct preliminary credit analysis and review borrower financial information in accordance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and underwriting standards Support the loan origination process by gathering necessary documents, verifying information, and ensuring completeness Maintain compliance with Fair Housing regulations, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and other federal or state mortgage laws during all stages of loan processing Coordinate with mortgage servicing teams to ensure accurate escrow calculations and timely processing of contracts Utilize basic math skills and 10-key typing to accurately input data, perform calculations, and manage loan files efficiently Assist in reviewing loan files for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to bank policies before submission for approval Requirements Prior experience as a Loan Officer or in a financial services role involving mortgage or loan processing is highly preferred Knowledge of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage servicing practices, use of Calex Point and or Arrive Familiarity with contracts, escrow processes, and credit analysis techniques Strong understanding of banking operations, loan origination workflows, and basic math skills necessary for accurate calculations Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in 10-key typing and computer software relevant to loan processing systems This role is an excellent stepping stone for motivated individuals eager to grow within the mortgage industry.
