Duties Review and verify loan documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy in accordance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and other regulatory standards. Collaborate with underwriters to facilitate timely loan approvals by providing necessary financial analysis and supporting documentation. Process loan applications , including preparing contracts, disclosures (such as TILA), and escrow instructions. Conduct credit analysis by evaluating borrower credit reports, income statements, assets, and liabilities to determine loan eligibility. Manage communication with borrowers, real estate agents, title companies, and internal teams to gather required information and update on application status. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, mortgage servicing standards, and banking regulations throughout the loan process. Support Real Estate Loan Officer by gathering and organizing all documentation needed to fund and close Home Equity and HELOC's. Also assist the Lending Manager with the facilitation of first mortgages as needed. Responsible for HMDA data extracts and reporting. Monitor paid loan report for real estate loans; generate letters, release liens, send copies of notes and deeds. Requirements Proven experience in loan processing within the financial services or mortgage industry; prior loan officer experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, mortgage servicing practices, and contracts. Familiarity with TILA (Truth in Lending Act), escrow processes, fair housing laws, and banking regulations. Ability to perform detailed credit analysis using credit reports and financial documents. Proficiency in loan origination software, mortgage processing systems, and Microsoft Office tools. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines. Basic math skills including calculations related to income verification, escrow amounts, and payment schedules; 10-key typing ability is preferred.
