The Residential Loan Processor is to prepare the loan for closing to include all of the current regulatory requirements and if closing thru a title company to work closely to meet an agreed upon closing date and time. To work closely with the Residential Processors in order to prepare the closing documents for all residential portfolio loans, including but not limited to Construction Loans with the monitoring and making sure that all steps are completed prior to funding, This position requires an understanding of table funding of loans that are being sold to the secondary market and how to complete this process.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review of
HMDA, CRA, RESPA
Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosures, OFAC and any other banking regulations as needed for the loan type.- Communication with all applicable parties involved.
- Work with numerous third party providers (i.e. appraisers, surveyors, attorneys, flood determination companies, etc.)
- Work with attorney's offices and title companies to balance loan file to meet closing dates.
- Knowledge of bank loan policy, procedure and loan regulations to assure loan request from lender meets the guidelines as set forth by the bank and the regulators.
- Prepare loan documents utilizing the Laser Pro doc prep software system (at present) as to Portfolio and Construction Loans. With the preparation of these loan documents several loans will require Escrow. An understanding of how to complete the calculation and be able to explain all aspects.
- Prepare various cross application entries and wires in order to disburse loan proceeds and prepare file for booking.
- Be able to book all executed loans thru interface from Laser Pro to Jack Henry, or when needed be able to book a loan file manually.
- Be able to balance secondary market loan files (table fundings).
EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE
- Requires High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge in various software systems (i.e. Banking, Loan Processing Systems, Word, Excel)
- Know how to operate and work email and attachments, Internet, fax, phone, calculator and typewriter.
- Knowledge of loan regulatory compliance regulations.
- Typing and filing.
OTHER SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess basic language skills to write and speak clearly, effectively and appropriate to business standards.
- Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations necessary to the duties of the job.
- Must be able to make sound decisions, have the ability to recognize potential problems, and take appropriate corrective action.
- Must be well organized, accurate, and attentive to details.
- Must be cooperative and willing to assist others. Able to work independently, as well as work with other associates or members of upper management.
- Must possess the necessary social skills to fulfill the requirements of the position.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands, while staying calm under high-pressure situations and seeking supervisory assistance as appropriate.
- Position may require the ability to work before or after normal business hours to attend various employee meetings, training sessions, and community events supported by the Bank.
