What You'll Do Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned: Core Duties Review and complete loan package in proper order for underwriting and verify all required documentation is in the file. Orders and follow up third party services such as appraisal, title reviews, appraisal reviews, final inspections, etc. Upon receiving the file back from approval, work with involved parties to collect any additional documentation to satisfy conditions needed on the file to clear the file for closing. Complete process for Denied, cancelled or withdrawn files. Serve as back up to Loan Closing Specialist for file opening and initial disclosures. Assist with special projects as assigned. Communicate with the closer and forward the files to the Closing unit in a timely manner. Review, request and follow up with borrowers and their representatives as well as collaborating with loan officers/analyst to obtain any missing or additional documentation needed throughout process. Regulatory Complete HMDA worksheet on all the files Ensure the files are forwarded to BSA for review in a timely manner. Collects and verifies financial assets, insurance information, corporate documentation, translations and other information necessary for accuracy and completeness. Submit files to underwriting for review after sufficient documentation has been received to be able to make a credit decision on the loan. Document all communication with applicants and internal personnel on any issues, concerns related to the loan application in the conversation log. What You'll Need Requirements and Qualifications High School Diploma Minimum of two years of experience in the mortgage industry and familiarity of documents included in the loan credit package. Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages. Advanced Skills with Microsoft Office.
