Position Summary:

Under general supervision, this role is responsible for preparing commercial loan documents and assisting with the booking of commercial loans. The position also involves processing incoming documentation from commercial borrowers, such as financial statements, and managing tasks related to record-keeping, scanning, and archiving of commercial loan documents to ensure accurate and organized files.

Schedule:

36-40 hour within a Monday through Friday work week.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact by answering department phones, taking messages, and ensuring prompt follow-up on commercial loan inquiries. Review commercial and construction loan documents prior to closings to confirm all required documents are prepared for valid funding. Input loan information into the commercial lending systems to assist Commercial Loan Officers efficiently. Process commercial and construction loan disbursements through ACH deposits, wires, or cashier's checks, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Handle incoming draw requests on commercial lines of credit, verifying sufficient documentation is available for final approval by a Commercial Loan Officer. Maintain accurate records for all active commercial and consumer-side residential construction loans, including proper draw requests, inventory inspection reports, lien waivers, indemnity agreements, and funding receipts. Scan and organize tax returns, financial statements, and other loan documents into the commercial lending systems or imaging systems as directed by Commercial Loan Officers. Participate in external events aligned with the business lending mission as assigned. Perform additional duties as directed by the VP of Commercial Lending .

Requirements Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year of experience in commercial lending, either at Westmark or a similar financial institution.

Skills and Knowledge:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including formula functionality. Strong understanding of loan forms and directives related to loan processing. Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective oral and written communication abilities.

Manual Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for tasks such as typing and operating office equipment. Sitting for extended periods of time. Occasionally lift and carry up to 15 lbs., if required for departmental tasks.
