This position ensures that all closing funds are properly distributed, and documents are submitted for recording in accordance with company policies and state regulations. The Post-Closing Specialist reviews closed files for completeness, resolves post-closing issues, tracks recording confirmations, and maintains accurate records to ensure a seamless transition from closing to final file completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Disburse funds for all real estate transactions accurately and timely. Prepare and submit documents for recording with the appropriate county offices. Monitor recording status and obtain recorded documents. Review closed files to ensure all required documents have been received and executed properly. Track, monitor, and reconcile outstanding and uncashed checks in accordance with company policy, underwriting requirements, and applicable state escheatment laws. Research and resolve issues related to stale-dated, lost, or uncashed checks, including coordinating reissuance when appropriate. Resolve post-closing discrepancies as needed Maintain organized and accurate post-closing records and files.
