Job Description
TruNorth Federal Credit Union is seeking a motivated and service‑driven individual to join our team as a Consumer Loan Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting consumer loans while ensuring full compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements. You'll work directly with members to evaluate loan applications, analyze financial information, and recommend personalized financial solutions that support their goals. This full‑time, nonexempt position is primarily based in Ishpeming, MI, with the possibility of working at our Marquette office, depending on business needs. As a Consumer Loan Officer, you will play a key role in helping our members achieve financial stability and confidence. You'll work closely with individuals to understand their needs, offer tailored lending solutions, and guide them through the loan process with clarity and care. A core part of your role includes integrating debt protection options that support members during unexpected life events, providing an added layer of financial security. Your strong financial analysis skills will help safeguard the financial well‑being of both our members and the credit union.
