As a Junior Loan Processor, you will work closely with senior team members to ensure all loan documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with industry regulations, including FNMA guidelines and Fair Housing regulations. Your enthusiasm for finance and attention to detail will help facilitate smooth loan transactions and contribute to our clients' homeownership dreams. Responsibilities Assist in collecting and verifying borrower documentation such as income statements, credit reports, and escrow information to ensure completeness and accuracy. Support the loan processing team by preparing and reviewing loan packages in accordance with FNMA standards and TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements. Conduct basic credit analysis to evaluate borrower financial stability and identify potential issues early in the process. Maintain detailed records of all loan processing activities, including inbound and outbound correspondence, contracts, and compliance documentation. Answer Client Calls and Emails Submit file for Underwriting Approval Order FHA, VA case numbers and appraisals Support mortgage servicing tasks by updating borrower information and tracking loan status throughout the approval process. Utilize 10-key typing skills for data entry tasks involving financial calculations, escrow details, and contract information to ensure precision and efficiency. Experience Previous experience in loan origination or mortgage processing is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines, underwriting procedures, or banking operations will be advantageous. Knowledge of mortgage-related regulations such as TILA and Fair Housing laws helps ensure compliance and best practices. Strong understanding of basic math principles necessary for credit analysis, escrow calculations, and contract review. Experience working within financial services or banking environments provides a solid foundation for success in this role. Excellent organizational skills combined with proficiency in 10-key typing enable efficient handling of multiple tasks simultaneously.
