About the role:
The consumer loan processor is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining documentation for consumer loans to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of lending procedures, regulatory guidelines, and document management practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, efficiency, and strong communication skills to support the loan origination and closing process. This position has a minimum hourly rate of $22.55 , but your offer amount may be increased with relevant work experience and transferable skills. A Day in the life of a consumer loan processor can look like: Prepare and review loan documentation for consumer and auto loans to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. Verify loan terms, member information, collateral details, and supporting documentation for consistency with approval requirements. Collaborate with experience teams, underwriters, and funding teams to resolve any missing or incorrect documents that could delay funding. Serve as a resource for experience team regarding closing document requirements, signing procedures, and the purpose of each document. Ensure all required disclosures, titles, and security agreements are properly executed and filed. Process funding requests and finalize loan disbursement in accordance with internal controls and compliance standards. Perform other duties as directed by leadership. What you bring to the table: High school diploma or equivalent. 2-4 years of experience in loan documentation, loan processing, or consumer lending within a financial institution. Strong understanding of consumer and auto lending processes, documentation requirements, and regulatory compliance standards. Proficiency with loan origination systems (LOS) and document management software Exceptional attention to detail, organizational ability, and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
