Job Description

Summary:
This position provides clerical and administrative support to Commercial Loan Processor functions and Loan Operation functions of the Bank. Provide prompt, courteous customer service to all areas within the Bank. Responsible for ensuring that all loan documentation, maintenance, reporting, compliance documentation, and training tasks are completed in compliance with the applicable regulations, Bank policies and procedures or special requirements. Provides first level support to Commercial Loan Processors and Loan Officers regarding loan files and documentation and branch staff regarding customer inquiries.
Job Responsibilities:
 Responsible for accuracy in all functions performed. Ensure daily task completion.  Update tickler tracking items daily and as information is received including but not limited to insurance, missing collateral documents, final title policies, perfected DMV/DVS and DNR titles and other miscellaneous items.  Managing UCC's for critical loan information and renew, continue, or terminate when needed.  Loan and loan maintenance checkback
  • verify documentation is saved and reviewed for accuracy.
Identify errors or corrections as needed.  Review reports daily, weekly, and monthly as applicable for errors, corrections, or missing information. New and renewed loan edits, exception tracking (ticklers), daily loan maintenance reports and other reports as needed.  Research requests for loan account questions for internal and external customers  Proficiency and accuracy related to loan documentation, maintenance, and compliance.  Periodic responsibilities include force placed insurance, charge-off and trouble loan tracking, documentation, maintenance and assisting with perfecting collateral items after repossession.  Assist in filing legal documents and perfect lien position on vehicles, boats, ATV, snowmobiles, and other collateral items.  Assist is scanning client information and documentation for consumer and commercial files.  Accurately input loan and account information, file maintenance, and changes on the core system.  Provide backup for other loan related functions as required.  Actively suggest process, procedure, and policy changes to improve department function.  Transparency with leadership regarding departmental errors, needs, including time, resources, education.  Ability to resolve errors promptly and escalate to leadership as necessary.  Effective and tactful communication with customers, internal and external, creating and maintaining good relations in day-to-day contact and the handling of complicated issues.  Other tasks and projects as assigned as deemed necessary for department functionality or as assigned by leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
 Desire and ability to learn new products and processes.  Great attention to detail.  Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives under minimal supervision.  Excellent time management, organization, and independent work abilities. Self-starting, strong desire to learn, and keen problem-solving abilities are essential.  Ability to multi-task when presented with complex and involved projects is necessary.  Ability to function in a high-volume environment and within time constraints to meet deadlines.  Strong in-person and verbal phone skills.  General Math Skills Education/Experience 1+ years of related experience, preferably in the Banking industry.
