The Compliance Associate will support the organization's compliance and loan closing functions by ensuring that loan documentation, processes, and records are accurate, complete, and in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of loan operations, minimizing compliance and financial risk, and ensuring a smooth and accurate closing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts, loan documentation, regulatory requirements, and compliance procedures, along with excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills. Key Responsibilities Maintain the loan waitlist with accurate and up-to-date loan information. Conduct compliance pre-checks on loans submitted by Loan Counselors and identify missing or incomplete documentation. Prepare accurate closing documents for JP and GRCC loans. Enter new loans and required information accurately into TEA. Prepare collateral documents, security agreements, and other required loan documentation. Verify that all required documents are received, completed, and properly saved in the loan file prior to closing. Prepare complete physical loan folders and closing packages for in-person closings. Obtain required flood certifications and SAM reports. Prepare and send DocuSign documents, FedEx shipping labels, and closing instructions for remote closings. Receive and review returned SBA loan documents, confirm that required documents are included, and notify the Compliance Manager so funds can be requested and/or disbursed. folder. Save completed and executed DocuSign documents in the appropriate client folder. Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical loan files. Support compliance monitoring and other administrative duties related to loan closing and regulatory requirements. Communicate effectively with Loan Counselors, Compliance, clients, and other internal departments to resolve documentation issues and keep loans moving through the closing process.
