None Job Description:
The Loan Support Specialist provides assistance to other personnel in the Credit Administration and Loan Operations areas, including backup support as needed.
Primary Job Functions may include:
  • Process mail payments daily; reverse payments due to insufficient funds; process Online Transaction Entries (OTEs) as needed; set up draft and ACH payments.
  • Assist customers with routine loan inquiries, routing questions to appropriate personnel if necessary.
  • Review and verify accuracy of scanned loan files and trailing documents and report on needed corrections.
  • Review and verify accuracy of data input for loan maintenance in Horizon for new loans, renewals, modifications, and extensions. Report on any needed corrections.
  • Prepares spreadsheets, reports, summaries, and opinions on new, renewal and modification of existing loans and communicates findings to officers.
  • Monitors and analyzes receipt of required information from lead lenders for all participation loans.
  • Monitors receipt of annual reviews of relationships between $250,000 and $750,000 that have at least $250,000 in commercial loans.
  • Assists in coordination of data collection for any independent loan reviews conducted by examiners, auditors and/or consultants.
  • Ensures credit documentation is properly scanned to FCM.
  • Acts as backup to Loan Operations Clerk, for tasks such as scanning loan files and trailing documents.
  • Provides support to Credit Administration and Loan Operations team members as well as other lending personnel.
  • Stays abreast of changes in provisions/guidelines, changes within the line of business, bank policies, industry and current economic environments of mortgage banking and lending in general.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent with a preference of a 2-year college degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to learn bank regulatory requirements, financial institution policies and procedures, and prudent lending practices.
  • Strong problem solving, verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of attention to detail; ability to clearly explain and document rationale for decisions.
  • Must be able to work independently in a production-oriented environment; be adaptable and flexible.
  • Interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional, supportive relationships with customers and team members.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional, highly ethical manner.
  • Intermediate PC and keyboarding skills, including experience with Windows operating systems, Horizon, Encompass and similar computer programs.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Moderate time spent standing. May be required to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally. Vision abilities require high level of visual concentration and keyboarding proficiency. There are generally no hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions present in the location of this position.
  • Learning, thinking, concentration, the ability to interact with others, the ability to exercise self-control, and the ability to work under stressful conditions, particularly in customer and employee relations' situations.
Employees are expected to perform other duties as assigned and directed by management and adhere to all company and compliance policies and procedures, including the Bank Secrecy Act. Job description and duties may be modified when deemed appropriate by management.
