Full Job Description Pay:

$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Job description: National Firm seeks a highly experienced Loan Processor to become a vital part of the mortgage lending journey! Our Firm manages a large LV Office. In this energetic role, you will report directly to the V.P. of Processing and play a key role in ensuring a smooth, efficient loan approval experience. Your expertise will help streamline the mortgage process, support underwriters, and guide clients toward achieving their homeownership goals. Responsibilities Review and verify loan application documents to ensure completeness and accuracy, including income, employment, credit reports, and asset information. Prepare and submit loan packages for underwriting approval, adhering to FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and other investor requirements. Communicate with borrowers, real estate agents, and lenders to gather additional information or clarification as needed. Conduct credit analysis by evaluating borrower financial data to determine loan eligibility and risk factors. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act), Fair Housing laws, and mortgage servicing standards. Manage escrow accounts, including calculations for property taxes and insurance premiums, ensuring accurate disbursements. Maintain detailed records of all processing activities using secure systems like 10-key typing and mortgage-specific software. Requirements Proven experience in loan processing within the financial services or mortgage industry; prior loan officer experience is valued. Four years of proven processing experience NMLS license preferred Strong understanding of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage contracts. Knowledge of loan origination processes from application through closing. Familiarity with fair housing regulations and compliance standards related to mortgage lending. Proficiency in credit analysis, basic math skills, and escrow calculations to assess borrower financial health accurately. Experience with mortgage servicing systems and familiarity with TILA disclosures and contract review. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
