Role Description The Loan Processor will manage residential and commercial loan files from application through closing, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include collecting and reviewing borrower documentation, preparing and organizing loan documents, updating loan files and systems, and coordinating with underwriters, loan officers, and third-party vendors. The role involves communicating clearly with clients and internal stakeholders regarding loan status, conditions, and outstanding requirements, while tracking deadlines and prioritizing multiple transactions. The Loan Processor will help identify potential issues early in the process, support the timely resolution of conditions, and contribute to a smooth closing experience. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Greenwich CT. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong experience with loan processing, including managing loan files and workflows from application to closing. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of loan documents and documentation requirements, including reviewing, organizing, and preparing closing packages. Candidates should possess foundational understanding of loans and lending products, preferably in private mortgage banking or real estate finance. Candidates should possess familiarity with underwriting principles and the ability to work collaboratively with underwriters to clear conditions. Candidates should possess effective communication skills for interacting with borrowers, loan officers, internal teams, and third-party partners. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with loan origination systems, document management tools, and standard office software (e.g., Excel, Word, email platforms). Prior experience in mortgage lending, banking, or real estate finance is highly beneficial; familiarity with New York and regional markets is a plus. Associate or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.
