Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Mortgage Loan Processor, where you will play a vital role in guiding mortgage applications through the entire processing cycle. Your expertise will ensure that each loan file is meticulously reviewed, compliant with industry regulations, and ready for underwriting approval. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to facilitate smooth and efficient loan transactions, helping prospective homeowners achieve their dreams. Your attention to detail and knowledge of mortgage processes will be instrumental in delivering exceptional service and maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations. Responsibilities Gather, review, and verify all necessary documentation required for mortgage applications, including income verification, credit reports, appraisals, and escrow information Ensure loan files adhere to FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and other investor requirements by conducting thorough credit analysis and risk assessments Prepare and submit complete loan packages for underwriting approval, ensuring accuracy and compliance with TILA (Truth in Lending Act), Fair Housing regulations, and other applicable laws Coordinate with loan officers, borrowers, escrow officers, and title companies to facilitate timely processing of all loan components Monitor loan status throughout the approval process, proactively resolving any issues or discrepancies that arise during underwriting or processing stages Maintain detailed records of all processing activities, including contracts, disclosures, and communication logs Stay updated on changes in mortgage servicing policies, banking regulations, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and efficiency Requirements Proven experience in loan origination or mortgage processing within the financial services industry including working with multiple banks and lenders. Strong understanding of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage servicing processes Familiarity with TILA regulations, escrow procedures, and fair housing laws Excellent credit analysis skills combined with basic math proficiency for calculations related to income ratios and debt-to-income assessments Proficiency in loan processing software systems and 10-key typing skills for efficient data entry Ability to interpret contracts and legal documents accurately while adhering to regulatory standards Knowledge of banking operations and mortgage-related contracts is highly desirable Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members and clients Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise helps turn homeownership dreams into reality!
