Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic financial services team as a Loan Officer Assistant, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help streamline the mortgage process and support our loan officers in delivering exceptional service. This role offers a vibrant environment dedicated to growth, learning, and making a real impact on clients' homeownership journeys. As a key team member, you will assist with loan origination processes, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to the efficient handling of mortgage applications. Duties Support loan officers in preparing and processing loan applications, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate Assist with credit analysis and review borrower financial information to facilitate underwriting decisions Coordinate with borrowers to gather necessary documents, verify information, and answer questions about the loan process Maintain compliance with Fair Housing regulations, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and other relevant mortgage laws during all stages of loan processing Enter data accurately into loan origination systems, including FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and mortgage servicing records Review contracts, escrow details, and other legal documents to ensure proper adherence to bank policies and regulations Perform basic math calculations related to loan amounts, interest rates, and payment schedules using 10-key typing skills Requirements Previous experience as a Loan Officer Assistant or in a similar financial services role preferred Active NMLS License preferred Knowledge of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage processing standards Familiarity with loan origination software and mortgage servicing systems Understanding of Fair Housing regulations, TILA requirements, and banking compliance standards Strong credit analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and credit reports Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for handling contracts, escrow documents, and legal forms Proficiency in basic math operations and 10-key typing for accurate data entry Ability to communicate effectively with clients, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders Join us in supporting our clients' dreams of homeownership while advancing your career in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
