SCOPE/PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
As a Loan Officer Assistant (LOA), you will work side-by-side with the Loan Officer (LO) in support of ALL aspects of sales and origination activities with the exception of running credit and discussing rates, fees or loan programs with borrowers. While the LOA is not responsible for generating new business, they may indirectly assist the LO in sales and marketing activities. In addition, the LOA plays a critical role in ensuring the continuation of existing relationships with borrowers, realtors, builders, attorneys and all other business partners by offering superior customer service to all individuals they are in contact with during and after the loan process. When acting as a LOA, you must ensure that all loans are processed in accordance with company industry and supervising agency standards.
Essential Functions:
Represents the company in a professional and enthusiastic manner at all times by providing an exceptional level of customer service and adhering to the core values of First World Mortgage while performing all functions of their job responsibilities and interactions with internal and external business partners. Consistently provides superior customer service to all borrowers, referral sources, business partners, staff employees and loan officers. Coordinates all up front underwriting requirements: Is always proactive in obtaining all necessary documentation and information in order to meet all loan commitments, rate lock and closing deadlines. Reviews application printed and in Encompass along with all application documents and disclosures for completeness and accuracy so that loan is in compliance and gets approved with minimal conditions. Orders appraisal and title and obtains all missing documentation including but not limited to; (VOS's, paystubs, w-2's, tax returns, bank statements, LOE for credit, credit inquiries and large deposits, subordination agreements, insurance policies, etc.). Packages and Submits loan files in a timely manner to the underwriting department. Validate AU findings and all info input into AU system and Encompass. Validate income, assets and debts on 1003 and credit. Work with loan officer and loan processor to satisfy all outstanding underwriting conditions to achieve a clear to close on all loan files in a timely and efficient manner. Review all conditions and documentation prior to submission to processing or underwriting. Work with closing department and post-closing department to obtain all outstanding documentation in a timely manner. Assist and process all loans in accordance with all supervising agencies and internal corporate guidelines.
