Bilingual Loan Officer Assistant

This is not a remote position and candidates must be available to work in our corporate office located in Warwick, Rhode Island. Position Summary Shoreham Bank is seeking a Bilingual Loan Officer Assistant to provide administrative and client support to our lending team. This role is critical to delivering excellent customer service, ensuring timely processing of loan applications and supporting Spanish‑speaking customers throughout the loan process. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, customer‑focused and comfortable working in a fast‑paced banking environment. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for loan applicants, including Spanish‑speaking customers, by phone, email and in person Assist Loan Officers with preparing, reviewing and submitting loan applications and supporting documentation Translate and explain loan documents, processes and requirements in Spanish and English as needed Order and track appraisals, verifications and other third‑party documentation Maintain accurate loan files and ensure all documentation complies with internal policies and regulatory requirements Update loan status information and follow up with customers to obtain missing items Coordinate loan closings and communicate with internal departments and external partners Provide general administrative support to the lending team as needed Ability to run DU/DO and LP automated findings Qualifications Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) required High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in business, finance or a related field preferred Prior experience in banking, lending, mortgage processing or a financial services environment preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent customer service and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn banking and loan origination systems Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a confidential environment Preferred Skills Familiarity with loan documentation and lending terminology Experience assisting Loan Officers or working in a loan processing or administrative support role Commitment to accuracy, compliance and high‑quality customer service Experience with Encompass Loan Origination system.

Salary:
