POSITION OVERVIEW
Liberty Title, under Fidelity National Financial (FNF) family of companies, is a leading provider of title insurance and settlement services, dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth real estate transactions. We are looking for a Post Closer in Warwick, RI to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely completion of real estate transactions by reviewing and finalizing closing files after settlement has occurred.
LOCATION
This position will report into the Warwick, Rhode Island office
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the Funding department to ensure timely funding of completed packages. Manage the Post-Closing inquiries of the Rhode Island office ensuring timely communications with all parties in the transaction. Open packages, confirm contents and work through loan documents received. Perform quality control of packages received, follow-up with appropriate parties as needed for missing or incorrect items. Scan packages into software, distribute appropriately in compliance with requirements outlined by Company and/or lenders. Recording of Purchase & Refinance Deed/Deed of Trust through SimpliFile e-recording service Distribution of Recorded Documents to Lenders and/or Buyers once received back from County/City Research and resolve discrepancies. Review all documentation for 100% accuracy. Receipt of escrow funds for transactions in post-closing packages and provide to funding department according to company procedures. Correspond with all parties in the transaction to resolve issues and escalate as appropriate to management. All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to review closing packages for accuracy. Ability to use PC and widely used software packages, e.g., spreadsheets/Excel, word processing/Word. Ability to learn new software packages as necessary or have experience with company operating system.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of title insurance regulations and industry best practices. Prior experience working at a real estate law firm or title company. COMPENSATION and
BENEFITS
This position has a minimum base hourly wage of $20. Compensation based on location and job-related factors such as skillset and experience. Actual rate may vary within the range provided, depending on a number of factors, including skillset, experience and location. The base compensation is one component of the total rewards package offered to our employees, including optional health and welfare insurance (medical/dental/vision/life/disability); paid holidays, vacation, and sick time off; and matching 401(k) plan and matching employee stock purchase plan.
