ABOUT THE ROLE
CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property, mortgage and commercial lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking a Mortgage Closer/Funder to help grow our Closing Department. This in-person role is in our Plano, TX office. The Mortgage Closer/Funder collaborates with essential internal departments as well as external title companies and attorneys. You will facilitate the closing process by delivering complete and accurate closing packages. This also includes completing the funding process and approving critical funding documents. You will work closely with Post-closing and Construction departments as necessary to resolve any issues. You will assist in contributing to the continuous improvement of processes with a focus on our borrowers and retail partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Clear conditions to close and fund, while multitasking loan closing questions Review and update closing documents as needed in a loan closing package Awareness of Change in Circumstance requirements, TRID, and Closing Disclosure (CD) preparation Balance Closing Disclosures with the title company Strong knowledge of investor loan closing requirements (FHA, Fannie Mae, Non-Conforming Land/Home) Coordinate with the accounting department to transfer funds to the title company for funding Audit final executed documentation prior to funding Strong in structuring loans (purchase vs refinance) to comply with lending practices and federal regulations Review, index and audit closing documents Perform recording fee audit, and obtain refunds from title company when applicable Strong knowledge of right of rescission requirements Maintain a positive experience for internal and external clients as primary point of contact for closing and funding Learn the post-closing responsibilities as closing allows in order to collect what is needed for post closer Learn the construction admin responsibilities as closing allows to know what steps come after closing the loan Strong attention to detail and accuracy maintaining service level commitments Perform administrative, database administration and preparation of reports as required Perform other related duties as required and assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS, CAPABILITIES, & SKILLS
Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task Strong research and critical thinking skills Good problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people Ability to read and interpret published rules and regulations Self-starter with strong organizational skills Self-motivated with ability to work independently Understanding of maintaining the confidentiality of non-public information needed to perform duties Ability to multi-task; must be detail oriented
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required, in Finance, Accounting, or Business Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
