Primary Purpose:
The Mortgage Quality Control Reverification Specialist orders re-verifications of asset, employment and income documents. They also assist in preparation of the appraisals for field review orders.
Essential Responsibilities:
Orders reverifications in a timely manner Tracks the 1st and 2nd attempts at obtaining reverifications Reviews reverification documentation that comes back to ensure they note the documents obtained during loan processing and employment time frame were factual and escalating ones that come back as not factual to the Mortgage Quality Assurance Officer Scrubs appraisals to ensure all required data is removed in preparation to order a field review appraisal Operates independently of the production, underwriting, and closing departments Maintains knowledge of agency guidelines and consumer disclosure requirements through on-going training including use of automated underwriting systems
Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong attention to detail Strong organization, analysis, and writing skills Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft products The ability to learn new software quickly Knowledgeable about the usage of scanners, printers and copiers Able to maintain thorough knowledge in rapidly changing regulatory environment Ability to interpret and apply policies and guidelines effectively
Physical Requirements:
Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this job.
