Summary:
A Loan Processor is responsible for the preparation of loan documents for rReal Estate, Commercial and Consumer loans in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bank policy. Loan packages must be prepared accurately and forwarded to the Lender in a timely manner in order to ensure quality service and minimize inconvenience to the client. Because of market volatility and spikes in loan volume, the Loan processor must be able to work under deadline pressure while still ensuring the accuracy of the loan documentation. This individual may also serve as a Loan Assistant, where this person is the first to respond to customers' initial communication, answers their questions or directs to the correct service person. Responsible for servicing consumer, residential and/or commercial loans. Promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to the appropriate staff for new services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The essential responsibility of this position is to prepare in-house loan documentation for consumer, commercial, agriculture and real estate loans in accordance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements.
- In addition, a secondary market loan processor will also prepare secondary market real estate loan documentation in accordance with Fannie Mae and regulatory requirements.
Job Duties:
- Comprehend the concepts and principles of loan documentation requirements dictated by loan type and collateral to ensure the creation of accurate loan documentation.
- Recognize the various legal entities and the required documentation associated with each entity type.
- Understand the importance of preparing the necessary documentation to properly support the loan and borrower type.
- Work with Loan Officers, title companies and attorneys as necessary to ensure timely preparation and delivery of loan application and closing packages
- Data entry into the Compliance Concierge loan processing system for all types of loans
- Download data from DU to Compliance Concierge as necessary
- Pull Loan Shield reports as necessary
- Document review to ensure accuracy
- UCC and DMV searches as necessary
- Assist Serviced Mortgage Manager as necessary
- Assist Loan Compliance Officer as necessary
- Act as loan assistant when necessary
