Job Description
Ramada Inn in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Hotel Night Auditor to join our overnight team. The Night Auditor is responsible for providing excellent guest service while completing the overnight audit, balancing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the hotel operates smoothly and securely during the night. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hotel front desk, hospitality, guest services, or night audit experience who enjoys working independently and takes pride in delivering a welcoming guest experience. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests, check guests in and out, and provide professional overnight front desk service. Process reservations, payments, room charges, refunds, and guest requests accurately. Complete the night audit and balance daily hotel financial transactions. Verify and reconcile room revenue, taxes, payments, and other hotel accounts. Prepare daily reports and ensure accurate financial and occupancy records. Answer phones and respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns. Make and modify reservations as needed. Monitor the hotel during overnight hours and follow established safety and security procedures. Communicate important guest or maintenance issues to management and the appropriate departments. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area. Follow hotel policies, procedures, and standards for guest service. Perform other front desk and hotel duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous hotel front desk, night auditor, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Comfortable handling cash, credit card transactions, and basic financial reconciliation. Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel property management systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Ability to remain calm and courteous when handling guest concerns. Must be available to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
