Job Description
Santa Barbara's Castillo Inn is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Hotel Night Auditor to join our team on the weekends! In this vital role, you will oversee overnight operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and deliver outstanding guest service during the night shift. Your energetic approach will help maintain smooth hotel functions while creating a welcoming environment for our guests arriving or departing late at night. Responsibilities Conduct nightly audits of all hotel transactions using property management systems (PMS) such as OPERA or similar platforms, ensuring accuracy in billing and revenue reports Balance accounts receivable, cash drawers, and credit card transactions to ensure financial integrity Prepare detailed shift reports, including daily summaries and incident documentation Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries via phone or in person, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues efficiently Monitor hotel security systems and perform routine safety checks in accordance with hotel emergency procedures Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs during late hours, ensuring a seamless experience Collaborate with front desk staff to coordinate guest requests and maintain high standards of guest relations Requirements Proven experience in hospitality management or front desk operations within a hotel environment, preferably with resort experience Familiarity with property management systems (PMS), especially OPERA or similar platforms Strong knowledge of night audit procedures, hotel emergency protocols, and guest services best practices Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance client communication and guest relations Excellent customer service skills combined with problem-solving capabilities and phone etiquette Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy Prior experience with hospitality reservation systems, hotel management software, and phone communication is preferred Join us as a Hotel Night Auditor to deliver energetic service that keeps our guests satisfied while ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel overnight.
